Who We Are

We are a charity that provides new clothing and household items to women and children free of charge. We are open to all individuals no matter their financial background.

Why We Do It

As women we tend to put others needs before ourselves. This program allows all women to access clothing and household items without guilt that they are taking away from their family. By running this program this helps reduce the number of items landing in landfills that are perfectly useable.

Manitoba has one of the highest child poverty rates in Canada. By providing the service to children we want to ensure that every child has the clothing that they need for Manitobas diverse weather and relieve some of the financial strain on families.

Community Day

On the first Wednesday of every month,
Madeline’s Closet welcomes everyone to Community Day.
Browse free clothing and essential items in a warm, respectful, and judgment-free environment.
Thanks to our generous donors and volunteers,
we’re helping neighbours feel supported, confident, and connected.

Community Voices

Together, we’re changing lives local

Volunteering at Madeline’s Closet has been one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had. It’s amazing to see how a small act of kindness—sorting donations or welcoming visitors—can brighten someone’s day. This is truly a place where the community comes together to make a difference.

Community Volunteer

I love knowing that the clothing and household items my family no longer needs stay right here in our community. Donating to Madeline’s Closet is simple, meaningful, and I know it helps local families with dignity and care.

Local Donor

Madeline’s Closet is more than a clothing resource—it’s a place of hope and connection. We’re proud to support an organization that brings neighbours together and creates a stronger, more compassionate community for everyone.

Our Community Comes Together for a Great Cause

Madeline’s Closet is proud to partner with local businesses, organizations, volunteers, and community members who make our mission possible. One of our signature fundraising events is the 1st Annual Charity Golf Tournament, bringing people together for a day of golf, friendship, and generosity. Every registration, sponsorship, auction item, and donation helps provide clothing, household essentials, and hope to families throughout our community. Together, we’re building a stronger future—one act of kindness at a time.

Our Program Help

We have networked with over 20 stores to provide us with their damages and write offs.
Our volunteers repair damaged items prior to putting them out.
We save a portion of our donated jewelry and scarves for Christmas
when we allow the children of our families to come and “shop” for their special person in their life.
(There is no charge to the children)
We help the children wrap their gifts.
Items that are severely damaged are used to make patchwork blankets
which are given to families who have lost their home’s due to fire.
